This Free Point Calculator is based on Rules and Guidelines for Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) featuring the new selection criteria effective May 04, 2013.

Factor 1 - Education (maximum 25 points)

Indicate your highest level of education. If you have an educational credential but not the total number of years of study required, you should award the number of points set out in the line that refers to the number of years of study completed.

  • University degree at the Doctoral (PhD) level or equal (25 Points)
  • University degree at the Master's level or equal OR
    University level entry-to-practice professional degree (or equal).
    Occupation related to the degree must be:
    - NOC 2016 Skill Level A, and
    - licensed by a provincial regulatory body.(23 Points)
  • Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equal (at least one must be for a program of at least three years) (22 Points)
  • Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a program of three years or longer, or equal (21 Points)
  • Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a two-year program, or equal (19 Points)
  • Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a one-year program, or equal (15 Points)

Your work experience must be in an occupation in Skill Type 0, A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) and it must have occurred in the past 10 years. Please select the appropriate number of years of experience.

For arranged employment, you must have a permanent job offer in Canada and are able to perform and are likely to accept and carry out the employment offered to you.

Factor 6 - Adaptability (maximum 10 points)
